japanese culture

When I thought about something that made me feel passionate, the first thing that comes to my mind was draw, but I already talked about that I while ago, so I decided to focus on what influenced me to draw, and it’s japanes culture. Art, music, festivals, even anime and manga. My love for this culture comes from the impact that had the studio ghibli in my childhood throught their movies, even though the one I rememeber the most is the grave of the fireflies – a film that tell the story of two siblings and the way they try to survive the second world war-. To have seen those movies made me see a different conception of life, and in some kind of way change the form I thought about art in general and my own draws. For example, the works of kanagawa, made me realize the force that a piece of art can have without a human figure, and the backgrounds of the studio Ghibli like a part  important of the scene. Another influence i see in my art is manga, sadly i don’t bel...

Puerto Montt

Imagen
Well, today i'm going to talk about a trip i made with my family to Puerto Montt two years ago. i don´t remember specifically the season , but at the moment we had arrived it was raining. -as usual-We stayed for two infinites weeks in the hostel of an acquaintance, not too far to the ocean. i might say it felt like a time machine, because they used a wood stove and all the furniture and decorations i was able to see was just as old.  The first day we decided to rest and recover the energy lost after 10 hours of travel. it was heavy for me since, unlike my mom or my grandmother, i could't sleep nor a minute. that's the reason why i don't like to travel more than 2 hours by bus. We visited a lot of differents places, one of them was Chiloe. I remember the moment when the bus was crossing the ocean in a ferry , it was cold and you could feel the water in you face and the smell of salt, by the time we arrived was midday, and of course lunch time. They took us ...

Fiestas patrias(?)

Imagen
Hello Well, i don´t know what to say about fiestas patrias, because this year we didn't do something interesting. My aunt tavel out of the city, and my uncle were ill; in the end the only day we were doing something related to this national celebration was the monday when we decided to do an "asado", with my mom and my grandmother. The rest fo the time i was sleeping or drawing, distracting myself from the university and all things related. To the end of the week i had to do all the work i didn´t, it was the sad face of fiestas patrias. But it give me the opportunity to spend more time with my family . o////w////o  ~kyaa    - ft miguel

a old bookstore

Imagen
Moin moin  Well, i'm not a person that like to go out so often, so it's hard for me to talk about what i did last weekend , and bit boring to read - drawing and doing works for the university aren't interesnting at all- ; but two weeks ago i decide to accept the invitation  of my friend and go to the bookstore with her. The place she wanted to visit was and old store- lost in time- ;i think that was the reason because it was so hard to find ar first sigth; but eventually we found the bookstore. She was reaching for a book as old as that place, in my case i only was there to help her, and maybe found something for me. We don´t realise how many hours we spend looking books until we became hungry nad decide to go for food.  It was a productive day i guess, something that make you abandon rutine and enjoy the moment.

A little concert of jazz

Imagen
Hello~ Sadly i never been able to go to a concert, because everytime one of my favorites groups comes to Chile i miss the date or don't have enough money. But even so i have some experiences with live music. It was years ago, when the music still was an unknown world, before i start to play violin. All this happened in the bar-restaurant of my aunt; she invited us to participated of the event that Francisco -my cousin- had prepared for the weekend with his group of jazz. He plays a lot of instruments, but that day he was playing the saxophone, his favorite.  The atmosphere inside the restaurant make you feel intoxicated by the music, and easly lose the percetion of time. They were in a little stage to one side of the bar playing for 2 or 3 hours.   An amazing experience

Art

i always liked the different art expressions, taking pictures or playing violin, but what i like the most is drawing. i've drawn a lot of things; animals, flowers, landscapes, still life, but my speciality -if i can say so- is draw anatomy, but i never have taken a class of art so the only way i have to for practice is using reference pictures I'm, very serious when i talk about that topic, because i like the way how nature shows her beauty through the human body.  I start drawing when a i was very young, and with the pass of the years i was able to found my own style painting  tryingin differents techniques until i found water colors. It's hard for me to define what art is or not, because i draw so different things like anime and originals characters. I practiced for years to be able to creates my own things, with a lot of paper massacred in the process. i'm not so confident in my abilities to say i'm an artist yet, but i want to show a picture of a ...

A Family Photograph

Imagen
Hello, i want to talk a bit about a photograph of my family. I've chosen a old photo that is very special for me because it brings me memories of my childhood. If i´m right this photo was taken 16 years ago, by my uncle -the self-procaimed photograph- in the back garden of my old house, while i'm with my grandmother doing "things that little childs do", i guess. We used to spend all the day there, so this photo shows a normal day for the three of us,
